Asheville/candler based business looking for an experienced seamstress to work from home 10-20+ hours a week. Must be detail oriented, efficient, and organized. Happy to train the right person but a strong sewing background is a must.
Training starts at $15 an hour and will go up from there depending on skill level.
I run a very small toy company called Forest Creature we make high-end collector dolls and would like to add another seamstress to our team. You would be sewing and stuffing limbs, sewing doll bodies from cotton, linen, wool, and German mohair in small batches. Depending on your experience you might also be asked to make some of the more simple clothing items.
Please email pictures of your work and we can set up a time to meet and interview. The work is very specific and finicky and not for everyone so make sure you enjoy the idea of both detailed sewing and batch sewing larger quantities of items.
