(Hiring 2 positions) This position offers an opportunity for individuals who are passionate about outdoor work and possess the necessary skills to contribute positively to our grounds/maintenanceteam for two family owned summer camps in the lovely Brevard area. The list below is not exhaustive but does show some of the variety and dynamism required for working on our facilities team.
Knowledge of tools, electrical and plumbing systems, carpentry and vehicles are important. Experience can vary.
Duties:
- Maintaining the safe and efficient function of vehicles, electrical and plumbing systems, kitchen equipment and building maintenance.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions.
- Grounds keeping experience necessary. Knowledge of necessary GK equipment and maintenance as well as landscaping, hardscaping and the seasonal upkeep of the natural environment and grounds are important.
- Perform routine landscaping tasks including mowing, trimming, and planting to maintain the beauty of the grounds.
- Operate and maintain various grounds maintenance equipment such as lawnmowers.
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance schedules and ensure minimal disruption to activities.
- Must be comfortable working as an individual or a member of a small team that handles a large variety of tasks and duties and is flexible and ready to take on tasks as they come based on importance and urgency.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions.
