Position Title: Art Handler/Delivery Driver

We deliver, package, and install fine artwork nationwide. This can include paintings, sculptures, antiques, and more.
We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Art Handler/Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe handling, transportation, and installation of artworks to various locations. This position requires a keen attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a strong commitment to providing exceptional service to our clients.
Responsibilities:
-Safely transport artworks to and from various locations using company vehicles
-Pack and unpack artworks with care, ensuring their protection during transit
-Install and deinstall artworks at client sites, following precise instructions and guidelines
-Handle artworks with care, using appropriate techniques and tools to prevent damage
-Maintain accurate records of inventory, delivery schedules, and client interactions
-Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues to ensure smooth coordination of deliveries and installations
-Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while operating company vehicles and handling artworks
Required Skills and Qualifications:
-Previous experience driving and loading/unloading vans/box trucks
-Strong attention to detail and a careful, methodical approach to work
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team
-Valid North Carolina driver's license with a clean driving record
-Ability to lift and move heavy objects, including artworks and equipment
-Able to drive for at least 10 hours a day
-Work schedule flexibility. Typically drivers are out of town for 2-5 days, 2-3 times a month, I do work with you the prior month to establish what your availability would be.
Preferred Qualifications:
-Experience with art installation techniques and tools
-Knowledge of industry standards and best practices for art handling and transportation
-Familiarity with national roadways and geography
Benefits:
-If you are a road warrior, that is 90% of the job. Go see America, stay in a nice hotel (paid for by the company) and have some fun when time allows.
-Daily rate works out to making between $24-30 per hour (depending on the trip). Make a full weeks pay from elswhere in 3 days!
-I can't guarantee tips naturally but sometimes we get really good ones!
-$45,000 salaried position available in the next year for the right candidate and proven job performance.
