We are currently seeking a full-time Delivery Driver to chauffeur our products to accounts across the State of NC.

The Fonta Flora Delivery Driver is responsible for safely and efficiently delivering all beverages to their proper locations. The position reports to the Logistics Manager, with whom they will work to ensure all orders are packed and loaded correctly. The Delivery Driver will also be involved with account maintenance related tasks.

Fonta Flora Brewery is a small but thriving craft brewery where no job is too large or too small for anyone. Candidates must share Fonta Flora’s commitments to quality, safety, business ethics, continuous innovation, local agriculture and our own unique culture.

The successful candidate for this role will be comfortable with repetitive tasks, physical labor and operating a motor vehicle. The candidate must have a valid driver’s license and be comfortable driving for extended periods of time while utilizing GPS mapping technology. The ideal candidate will possess a sense of urgency and punctuality, while also being approachable and friendly with clients or customers of Fonta Flora. Candidates should be able to physically lift up to 50-75 lbs and move up to 165 lbs.

ERRDAY Job Tasks

- Loading, unloading, and delivery of our products to retail accounts

- Loading and unloading of company vehicles including operating a company forklift to load and unload packages

- Preparing and delivering packaged products to our additional tasting room locations in applicable territories

-Use of applicable software to mark orders as delivered, mark kegs as returned, and to follow routes

-Transport of kegs, dirty and clean, back and forth from our farm location to our Morganton location as well as daily spreadsheet tracking of returned kegs

- In tandem with the Sales and Logistics Managers, compile and maintain CRM account information.

- Prepare and deliver products to a self-distributed network of accounts

- Deliver samples and promotional materials to accounts when necessary

- Present invoices to customers and obtain customer representative signature verifying goods delivered

- Collect payment when necessary

- Responsible for returning signed invoices and customer payments to Controller daily

- Verify outgoing orders with Sales and Logistics Manager

- Supporting the occasional delivery of a product as needed to accounts with last-minute requests

- Picking up equipment and [raw] materials from local vendors/farmers

- Providing efficient and safe delivery and pick-up, while representing the company in a professional manner

- Keeping a maintenance log on our delivery vehicle and assuming ownership of the upkeep and cleanliness of this vehicle. Logging mileage weekly and staying on top of oil changes/routine maintenance

- Keeping customers informed by answering questions regarding products and service

- Ensuring packages conform to Fonta Floras’ standards of service, that proper labeling is provided, and that all paperwork is complete, neat, and accurate

- Cleaning, washing and performing minor maintenance to company vehicles as necessary, maintaining neat and clean personal appearance to uphold company's public image

- Notifying supervisor of any safety or vehicle concerns

- Be a team player with ability to interact with all levels within the organization

- Frequently engage with Basecamp, our project management + internal communication tool

- Assist with promotional events

- Maintain an orderly and safe work environment

- Participate in regular departmental meetings to review issues and propose solutions

- Understand and comply with all federal, state, and local laws

- Proudly represent the Fonta Flora brand both on and off site

- Safely stack, wrap, and prepare pallets for daily delivery

- Unload empty pallets, kegs, etc out of delivery vehicle each day

- Responsible for keeping track of credit card receipts and submitting copies electronically to Controller

- Cultivate and maintain customer relationships by positively engaging with accounts while delivering

- Other tasks as assigned.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

- Must be 21 years of age or older at the time of application

- Able to pass a post-offer, pre-employment background and driving record check

- Must have and maintain an active applicable State Driver’s License

- Must be able to demonstrate safe, responsible driving habits and parking maneuvers

- Minimum 1 year of experience operating a delivery vehicle preferred

- Able to work flexible hours including nights, overnights, overtime, weekends and holidays

- High School Diploma or GED, or two years’ related work experience equivalent

- Knowledge in organizing and distributing items, materials and merchandise

- Strong work ethic and self-starting attitude

- Able to develop relationships with customers and provide a high level of customer service

- Ability to navigate difficult situations with sales accounts

- Good interpersonal skills and team spirit

- Good attendance

- Desire to work in a fast paced, growing company

-Familiarity with google drive

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

- Up to 100% travel time may be required

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

- Able to stand, walk, and be on your feet for prolonged periods

- Able to drive, stand, walk, kneel, lift and bend required for virtually the entire shift

- Able to balance - pulling product, climb in and out of truck

- Able to stoop, crawl, twist, turn, lift, kneel, climb ladders and stairs

- Able to read and follow written English instructions

- Able to periodically lift/move 165 pounds

- Able to regularly twist, turn, kneel, climb, stoop, bend, crawl, lift and carry supplies and equipment weighing up to 75 pounds using appropriate techniques and tools

- Able to work in a factory/production environment which may be loud, slick, humid, cold, and hot

- Able to work in indoor and outdoor environments with moderate noise and occasionally slippery floors. Weather conditions can vary.

- Able to comply with and enforce all health, safety, and personal hygiene policies and standards

-This is a full time job, 4 days a week, where hourly requirements may vary based on weekly sales. Start and finish times are occasionally unpredictable due to factors such as sales volume, traffic, weather, etc

- Maintain positive attitude to best represent the company and better service our customers
