Positions Available:
We are hiring multiple candidates to fill the following roles on an event basis:
Cashier/Line Cook
Lead Line Cook
Shift Lead
These roles are available at the Alleghany County Fairgrounds concession.
Cashier/Line Cooks will take customer orders, prepare and serve food and beverages.
Lead Line Cooks will oversee the preparation, cooking and presentation of all food items, ensuring the highest quality standards.
Shift Leads will oversee both the FOH and BOH operations.
All applicants must have prior cooking experience and will prepare and serve food.
Qualifications:
Prior experience as a cook.
Strong customer service skills.
Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, food safety, and kitchen equipment.
Proven ability to work in a team setting, manage multiple tasks, and remain calm under pressure.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
Must drive or have reliable transportation to the work location.
Certifications:
Food Handlers Certification, ServSafe Certification or equivalent required.
