Description Very strong and stable company has an immediate need for a Manager of Applications Development. This is a hybrid remote employee opportunity. Typically, in the Cary office 2 days per week. In this role, you will be responsible for managing deliverables and delivering projects on time from the business requirement stages through post implementation activities. The Development Manager will also lead the planning and execution of projects to ensure that project goals are accomplished, and company objectives are met. This position will partner with Product Managers to ensure the product’s success.Description:
This role will manage/lead a team of 4 to 10 Software Engineers within a Java Agile environment. Focus will be on middleware and backend experience. While there is some front-end development, we are NOT looking for a front-end focused manager.
Workload could be dealing with production issues, need to stand up for the team when needed (mentoring, solving issues etc.), attrition issues etc. Must be flexible to come in, pitch in, work evenings or weekends as/if needed, to get the job done.

You have a budget and deliverables; make it happen. We have checkpoints but I am not going to micromanage. I am here to help build you up and in turn you will build your own team up. Requirements Must haves:
Must have 2+ years of experience leading a Software Engineering or SDET team, within a Java or .Net technical environment (ideally Java).
High EQ – strong leader with excellent communication skills. Will interact with external clients, product team, direct reports, off shore resources.
High IQ – must be technically competent. Will be engaged in technology conversations. Note: there is NO hands-on component to this position.
Cloud exposure – AWS or Azure (ideally AWS)

PMP Certification. NOTE: Must obtain a PMP certification within your first year of employment.
