Reporting to the Director/Head of Product Design, this role will lead, manage, and grow an effective global team of product designers that strive for focus, growth, and impact in a collaborative product organization. As the Product Design Manager, you will be working closely with Product and Engineering leaders, as well as your design team, to ensure the successful execution of design projects aligned with the company’s goals. You will be responsible for guiding and fostering a data-driven, user-centered, and collaborative design culture.The Product Design Manager is a key contributor to the product leadership. You’re expected to skillfully untangle large, complicated, sometimes inexplicable client problems, business problems and technology problems, and find simple and elegant solutions collaborating with cross-functional teams including product management, engineers, and business stakeholders. You will bring in the voice of users including user insights, data science, customer support and market insights throughout your team’s design processes, leverage user feedback to iterate designs and drive continuous improvement, as well as present design solution to stakeholders with deep user empathy.Furthermore, just as important as your background is who you are as a person. We can’t wait to talk to you.What you’ll be doing· As the Product Design Manager, you lead, coach, and manage a team of global product designers, providing effective guidance and fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.· Conduct regular performance evaluations within your team, set team goals, and identify opportunities for professional development for team members.· Work closely with the leadership to manage design resources and talent recruitment, as well as to foster nourishing design culture across the team.· Execute and contribute to the design strategy to bring all products together into a consistent and holistic experience for all our clients, and drive alignment across product management and engineering.· Develop compelling design roadmaps for one or more product areas, and clearly communicate the rationales and expected outcomes across the organization.· Lead and execute design projects on your own, raise the bar of design quality, and set good examples for the team to learn and follow.· Advocate design system and reusable visual and interaction design patterns that can translate easily across multiple products in Brightly’s portfolios.· Actively participate in key initiatives to help shape solutions, influence, and interpret the product vision, and drive strategic execution of design with your team.· Implement and refine design processes throughout product development lifecycle, market introduction as well as continuous improvement. Ensure the team follow the best practices in user-centered design, usability, accessibility, and inclusive design.· Understand the technologies behind the products to have meaningful conversations with engineers, and to negotiate product roadmaps based on technical feasibility.· Challenge the status quo on creativity and the quality of design work across the team.· Champion UX and design by participating in and contributing to UX/Design Thinking initiatives within the company.· Collaborate closely with UX leaders across Siemens’ businesses, and foster design collaborations based on projects, skills and professional interests.Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in design, human-computer interaction, or a related field. More than 3 years of people management and proven leadership of hiring, coaching, and developing product designers and UX professionals ranging from junior talent to world-class top-tiers. More than 8 years of experience designing complex enterprise products in SaaS platform, marketplace, or other software-led fields in an agile B2B environment. Asset Management product design experience is a plus. Experience in managing a global product design team, inclusively and effectively addressing challenges related to time zones, cultural differences, and remote collaboration. Strong user and business acumen to align design decisions with business goals, in a data-driven user-centered approach. Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch. Able to select right tools based on design situations. Skillful to work with product development, engineering teams, and business stakeholders, with excellent communication and collaboration skills. A consistent track record of launching habit-forming products that delight, innovate and scale. Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.What does success look like?

You are highly collaborative: You actively listen to the feedback from colleagues in Product Design, Product Managers, Client Services and other management roles. You initiate collaborative design sessions with product and engineering to ensure the design meets the business requirements and is technically feasible.
Work well with software engineers: You share your designs and the “Why” behind the designs with engineers. You partner with the engineering lead to understand the technical feasibility of the solutions before the final design is created. You lead interactive design sessions with your Engineering counterparts in order to ensure that short- and long-term design goals are achieved. You provide the long-term design vision for the feature and help break it down into incremental changes that can be worked on independently.
