Description Robert Half has partnered with a growing hospitality company in Chapel Hill to assist them in hiring an experienced Staff Accountant. This is a permanent in-office position in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance and a minimum of three years accounting experience.Responsibilities: Maintain and update the company's accounting records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other various accounts. Assist in processing customer bookings and supplier payments across multiple accounting ledgers. Conduct regular bank account reconciliations and update QuickBooks accounting software as needed. Assist with the creation and proofing of invoices, as well as processing payments. Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoice matching, setting up new vendors, and creating AR aging reports. Assist in the preparation and maintenance of monthly reports and variance analysis. Assist in improving processes and efficiencies within the finance department. Handle employee expense reports and facilitate payments. Assist with weekly payment runs and international wire transfers. Assist in maintaining robust financial controls and meeting the monthly accounting close cycle.Requirements Must hold a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Staff Accountant Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is required Must have experience in Bank Reconciliations Proficient knowledge of General Ledger is a must Should be able to handle Journal Entries Must have experience in Month End Close Proficiency in using QuickBooks is essential Must have experience in Cash Applications Ability to Prepare Invoices is required Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is required Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team High attention to detail and accuracy in all work Must have the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Must demonstrate a high level of integrity and professionalism Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
