Does a summer spent outdoors hiking, kayaking, fishing, practicing your archery skills sound like a great summer job? If you enjoy outdoor adventures and helping instill a love for nature to future generations, then this may be the job for you! The Anne Springs Close Greenway located in Fort Mill SC is hiring camp counselors and adventure leaders for our 2019 summer camps.
The Anne Springs Close Greenway has offered summer camps for over 15 years and provides 2,100 acres of preserved land to hike, bike, fish, kayak as well as other popular outdoor activities. Located at our dedicated Adventure Camp Center and our campers will enjoy a summer full of exploration and adventure. The Adventure Seekers program is a nature adventure based summer day camp which includes a variety of outdoor activities on the Greenway. We are currently seeking qualified candidates for Program Coordinator, Camp Counselors, and Kayak Leader positions.
We look for candidates with the following experience:
⢠Previous experience in a camp setting
⢠Ability to encourage leadership, creativity, and interpersonal relationships
⢠Assist/actively participate in guiding activities for the campers
⢠Be a positive role model and lead by example
⢠Must be 18 years of age
⢠CPR/First Aid Certification a plus
Camp dates will run Monday to Friday - June 10th through August 9th. There will be a training session in early June prior to the start of camp.
We are hiring CAMP COUNSELORS AND KAYAK LEADERS:
⢠CAMP COUNSELORS for Full Day Adventure Camp must love the outdoors and have some experience in one or more of the following areas: mountain biking, kayaking, low ropes course, archery, or hiking. Previous experience in a camp setting with ages 6-14 preferred.
⢠The CAMP KAYAK LEADER will teach campers paddling skills and proper technique to operate kayaks safely and properly. Previous experience with technical kayaking knowledge and abilities and Current Lifeguard Certification required.
TINY TIMBERS /LITTLE CRITTERS CAMP
Campers are ages 3-6. This is a HALF DAY, MORNING camp, with the exception of the weeks of June 24, July 8 and August 5, during which we will have morning and afternoon sessions.
We are hiring a PRESCHOOL CAMP COORDINATOR and CAMP COUNSELORS:
⢠PRESCHOOL AND CAMP COORDINATOR Supervises the daily operations of the Preschool at our adventure center held during the school year and our Tiny Timbers / Little Critters Adventure Camp Programs during summer camp for preschool aged children. During the SUMMER â the coordinator will be responsible for our preschool camps, will lead camp activities and oversee the camp counselors. During the SCHOOL YEAR â the coordinator will oversee all activities of our nature-based morning preschool program. The coordinator will manage the program; will plan weekly activities and oversee the staff. The ideal candidate will have a love for working with preschools and enjoy outdoor activities. Prefer candidates with a degree in Early Education and preschool experience.
⢠CAMP COUNSELORS will engage campers in crafts and nature based activities to encourage a love for the great outdoors. Age appropriate themes vary from week to week for a variety of experiences for campers.
