We are seeking a passionate and skilled Violin Instructor to join our team as an independent contractor. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic violinist to inspire and teach students ages 6 and up in a dynamic, supportive environment.
Responsibilities:
-Provide high-quality violin instruction to students of varying skill levels, from beginners to advanced, ages 6 and up.
-Teach private and/or group lessons from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM, 4–5 days per week, as agreed upon in the contract.
-Develop tailored lesson plans to foster student growth, technical proficiency, and a love for music.
-Maintain a professional, positive, and encouraging teaching attitude to motivate students.
-Go the extra mile to support students in achieving their musical goals, including preparation for recitals, local orchestra/school auditions, or college preparation auditions.
-Communicate effectively with students and parents/guardians about progress and practice expectations.
Qualifications:
-Exceptional violin performance skills and a strong ability to teach students ages 6 and up.
-Outgoing, enthusiastic personality with a passion for inspiring students to learn and excel in violin.
-Professional teaching attitude with a commitment to student success.
-Experience teaching violin is preferred, but not required.
-Candidate skilled in teaching other string instruments or other instruments in general are highly successful in our studio but is not required.
-College students actively pursuing a music performance major in violin are strongly encouraged to apply.
-Reliable, punctual, and able to commit to a consistent schedule of 4–5 days per week.
-Must provide own violin and teaching materials (e.g., sheet music, metronome, etc.).
-There will be a 6-month evaluation period before the standard rate applies.
Compensation:
-Annual earning potential of $50,960 for 4 days per week or up to $63,700 for 5 days per week, based on an hourly rate and agreed-upon schedule. (Hourly rate is calculated on a per 30 minute-lesson payment schedule.) Annual earning potential is based on instructing a full roster of students within the 3:00 PM - 8:00 PM teaching schedule.
-Payments will be made per the terms outlined in the independent contractor agreement, typically based on number of lessons taught per month.
Contractor Status:
-As an independent contractor, you will have the flexibility to design your teaching approach and manage your methods, while meeting agreed-upon lesson schedules and deliverables. The contractor is responsible for their own taxes, insurance, and equipment.

-Work among other career focused music educators that have been teaching with Music Quarters on average 8 - 11 years.
