CDO Automation and Cloud team is looking for an experienced Azure Data Engineer Lead/Architect with extensive data/migration experience who will provide guidance and best practices for the cloud adoption on Azure Data platform and support CDO teams and clients of DPS service, leveraging express route
The person will be responsible for working to build CDO data cloud solutions, leveraging ETL tools, and other Big Data related technologies on the Azure platform
Work as part of a team to develop Cloud Data and Analytics solutions
Assist in the definition of operational and administrative activities
Build out CI/CD pipeline for the CDO Azure data platforms
Adhere to requirements on compliance, security, and Change Request Management processes
Requirements:
Azure Cloud engineering experience in the design, development, and deployment of Azure solutions
SME for migrating on-prem applications to cloud-based PaaS services primarily focusing on data warehouse and big data solutions like HDInsight, Databricks, and Synapse
Hands-on technology experience including HDInsight, Spark, Hive, Azure Data Factory, Data Lake, Databricks, Synapse, Azure Stream Analytics, Azure Event Hub, Azure Analysis Services, CosmosDB, and different Data Modeling tools
Experience in developing data architectures and development of large-scale cloud data warehouses
Understanding of Azure Cloud databases such as Azure SQL Database, SQL managed instance, SQL Elastic pool on Azure and SQL server
Experience across data platforms such as Oracle and SQL
Experience in designing and implementing data solutions in Azure including data distributions and partitions scalability, disaster recovery, and high availability
Hands-on experience working within a development team and providing cloud expertise
5+ years working on Cloud applications
Minimum of 5 years of experience with MS Azure
Minimum of 3 years of experience with Spark/Hive
Proficient in one or more of the following technologies - HDInsight, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Bricks, Azure Active Directory, Azure Data Lake Analytics/Apache Hive
Understanding of basic security concepts such Active Directory, LDAP, SSO/SAML, Powerbroker, Azure/Google service accounts
SQL
PowerShell
Data Warehousing
Data ETL (Extract / Transform / Load)
Data Modeling and Power BI
Microsoft Azure certifications - Implementing an Azure Data Solution (AZ-200)
Candidate must have one of the Azure certification DP-201 or DP-200 (preferred) or AZ-303, AZ-304
Familiarity with big data tools: Hadoop or Teradata
Experience with cloud-based CI/CD/DevOps implementations
Experience with other tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, and Artifactory
Experience with end-to-end security and network connectivity leveraging Express Route preferred
Experience in agile development/understanding of Agile concepts
Use of tools such as Jira and Confluence
Excellent communication skills and ability to work with others to archive end-to-end cloud architecture and enablement for the DPS organization
Be a team player willing to share cloud knowledge with engineers within a matrix organization
Able to work as a W2 employee of Genesis10 (no Corp-to-Corp)
