Description Robert Half is seeking candidates for a full-time Staff Accountant position, which will become a critical part of an innovative company. Ideal candidates will thrive on solving challenges and handling multiple projects and components. You will succeed in this Staff Accountant position if you can prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation. If you can perform internal reporting during the monthly close, participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules reporting processes, you will succeed in this role. Organize schedules for monthly payments and capital lease
Prepare analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for management to report on
Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as requested
Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls. Also ensure that accounting procedures comply with GAAP
Organize and review various financial data, then report it in a manner that is useful and understandable
Maintain intercompany transactions, billings, and reconciliation
Play a part in a variety of department-wide initiatives
Support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process by preparing monthly financial close workbooks
In-depth experience with month end balance sheet account reconciliations
Compose journal entries and conduct the month end close with minimal supervision
Oversee depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation
Prepare complex journal entries and account reconciliations including but not limited to cash, prepaid expenses and payroll
Regular maintenance and reconciliation of journal entries Requirements - Less than one year of experience is acceptable
Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines
Microsoft Excel experience
Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment
Mature organizational, written and verbal communication skills
BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
Competent with spreadsheets and databases
Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
Skilled with ERP systems
Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases
Self-starter and strong ethical standards
Accomplished in analytical, quantitative and social skills
