Hybrid On-site in: Chicago, IL; Charlotte, NC; Raleigh, NC; Chandler, AZ or Minneapolis, MN. Must be already local to one of these locations as on-site is 3 days/week.

The bottom line:

Meet with various internal technology teams and review their applications/databases. If they have a disaster recovery plan in place already, does it need to be updated/changed? If they do not have a business continuity plan in place, help them built it with the use of pre-existing templates. Must come from a technical background to understand applications and databases.

Whomever is in this role will be meeting with technical people and they need to quickly be able to understand the technical infrastructure employed by an application in regards to data storage. We are not looking for a PM, Scrum Master or Kanban Master, or QA analyst. Our "business customers" are Technology professionals not banking professionals.

Overview:
  • This position would be part of the Framework Onboarding Team within the Data Resiliency Center of Excellence.
  • This team is responsible for assisting application teams develop their data recovery strategy to be used in the event of a large scale data corruption incident.
  • The individuals on the team meet with the application teams and work through a template to come up with the appropriate steps to take.
  • They will review the application team responses to the guidance information in the template to insure that the responses are adequate and would be useful in recovering data for the application.
  • The Onboarding Team is also responsible for working with the application teams to determine their estimated Data Corruption Recovery Time Capability (DCRTC).
  • This is a measure of the time required to complete critical path tasks starting with the initial triage of the incident through the application being available for use.
  • The individuals on the team work through a spreadsheet with application teams to come up with their DCRTC value.
  • If the DCRTC does not meet business requirements, then a remediation process is initiated.
  • The Onboarding team members facilitate this process as well.
  • To be successful in this position, the individual must be able to understand the technical details of the application infrastructure well enough so that they can guide the team through the discussion on data recovery.
  • They would also be expected to take lead on 8-10 applications per quarter, in addition to other assignments.

Candidate Profile:
  • Technical Business Analyst skillset: Facilitation, Technical savvy
  • Must have EXCELLENT communication skills
  • Good people skills: Extroverted, Experience with meeting facilitation, Interactions with senior leaders
  • Strong background in: Technical development or infrastructure, SDLC processes, Database and or Storage Technologies
  • Major enterprise experience
  • Background in Data Resiliency would be helpful - this could include disaster recovery and data recovery
  • Experience working on large data initiatives is preferred
  • The ability to juggle multiple assignments simultaneously
  • Nice to have: Consulting background
