Position Summary The District Manager (DM) oversees the day-to-day operations and other company initiatives within multi-unit AutoZone stores. The DM hires, trains, and retains high performing AutoZoners and ensures optimum productivity, in a safe environment. The DM monitor’s sales, cash flow, inventory controls, expense control, shrink, and ensures and maintains compliance with company policies and expectations. Position Responsibilities · Leads and support a district culture focused on customer satisfaction, sales growth and retention · Attracts, recruits, hires, trains and develops high caliber store personnel · Assures fair and equal employment opportunities for AutoZoners and applicants · Accountable for the performance of stores in assigned market · Evaluates store operations and develops tactical plans to improve store manager’s overall performance · Develops an annual business plan for the district with individual goals for each store focused on building customer base, revenue and controlling expenses · Monitors sales, cash flow, inventory, and security controls · Routinely and frequently visits stores and commercial accounts · Ensures Store Manager and Commercial Sales Manager/Specialist visits commercial accounts using the Commercial Sales Call Planner · Drive sales performance, maximize gross profit margins, monitor P&L, and ensure proper inventory levels · Helps managers develop coaching and training plans for the store staff to provide WOW! Customer Service, enhance productivity, and market products to enhance sales and profits. · Ensures Store Managers staff and schedule store personnel to meet customer needs, including diversity and bilingual · Evaluates and coaches managers on period Professional Selling and Culture Topics while visiting each store · Teaches managers to utilize the Individual Sales Performance and the WITTDTJR Scoreboard to increase sales · Reinforces and evaluates the period sales plans during store visits · Ensures all managers understand and uphold AutoZone’s company policies, accident and loss prevention procedures · Ensures Store Manager is achieving or exceeding sales targets · Follows up on WITTDTJR meetings and action items · Provides performance counseling and distributes AutoZoner Action Reviews, when necessary · Addresses customer concerns and resolves them with a goal of turning a complaint into a compliment · Ensures managers provide and maintain a safe working environment and AutoZoners practice safe behaviors; including PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) · Adheres to and ensures AutoZoners follow AutoZone’s dress code standards · Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the business needs, including holidays, evenings and weekend shifts Position Requirements · High School diploma or equivalent · ASE Certified preferred · Demonstrates high level of integrity · Ability to drive customer service Benefits at AutoZone AutoZone cares about people.
