Chief Operating OfficeThe Chief Operating Office (COO) is responsible for delivering a more consistent approach to business operations across Wells Fargo, strengthening the company's risk and control infrastructure, and delivering effective and efficient enterprise services to employees and customers.The PositionThe Priority Issues Execution Office, in partnership with the Corporate Risk Regulatory Execution office, brings vital focus, coordination, and enhanced business management routines to the company's execution of critical regulatory and control issues, as well as related deliverables across all three lines of defense. The Priority Issues Execution Office within the Chief Operating Officer organization and Corporate Risk Regulatory Execution within the Corporate Risk office, work with the Chief Risk Officer, Chief Control Executive, and other senior leaders to prioritize areas of focus.The Priority Issues Execution team works with issue owners and accountable executives to ensure action plans are designed for success, reviews ongoing execution of selected issues, help issue owners be more successful, and drives greater discipline around key deliverables. In addition to supporting issue owners and accountable executives, the team will help identify thematic issues across the company; leverage best practices to improve execution against prioritized deliverables; and foster appropriate proactive escalation, executive awareness, and integrated reporting.The role is responsible for working across the Priority Issues Execution Office/Corporate Risk Regulatory Execution portfolio and with Regulatory Relations, Legal, and other lines of defense partners to help ensure success in our highest priorities; these responsibilities include understanding the regulatory agenda and developing issue owner guidance for effective regulator communications including issue closure readiness. The role maintains a strong understanding of the current and evolving regulatory environment to advise on successful delivery and closure readiness within the specifics of remediation requirement as well as the sustainable approach. Additional activities include monitoring regulatory correspondence for awareness, fostering knowledge sharing, identifying regulatory themes, and ensuring the consistency of messaging to regulators. This includes providing regulator interaction coaching to issue owners and executives. Collaboration and coordination across the firm on regulatory matters including with front line, second line independent risk management, and Internal Audit is an essential aspect of the role. The role produces extensive communications (orally and in writing) to develop effective relationships with regulators and internal stakeholders.The CandidateThe successful candidate will have demonstrated success in building and leading high performing, industry-leading customer focused teams in the financial services industry. This executive will have experience leading a best in class organization leveraging highly disciplined business, financial, operations, credit and risk management processes.Required Qualifications

10+ years of Transformation, Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have 10 or more years' experience as a banking regulator and/or at a large financial institution, advisory or law firm leading regulatory affairs and/or exam management activities.

Experience in disciplines such as: risk management, control management, Compliance, audit, or operational risk.

Strong writing skills, especially the ability to communicate complex topics to a regulator and senior management/C-suite audience.

Ability to work quickly and efficiently across lines of defense and senior levels of the firm to address pressing issues.

Strong knowledge of the regulatory landscape and experience working directly with regulators.

Proven ability to challenge the business/functions and to escalate issues appropriately.

Ability to deliver remediation in an environment that has little tolerance for missing deliverables and requirements

Advanced degree preferred (e.g. JD, MBA).

Pay Range:

173,300.00 - 359,900.00 USD Annual

May be considered for a discretionary bonus, Restricted Share Rights or other long-term incentive awards
