HR Generalist - Shared ServicesRequisition ID : SKA000DQAWe are seeking an outstanding Human Resources Generalist to join our Skanska USA HR Shared Services Team. This role will provide HR partnership and support to our USA Shared Services teams (Communications, IT, HR and EHS) and other Skanska USA Inc. employees and managers in Skanska Asset Management, Internal Audit and Skanska Financial Services. The primary focus of this role will be to provide more comprehensive and full life-cycle HR support to the 145 employees in a variety of roles with a strong focus on Talent Acquisition.In joining our team, you will become a champion of Skanska’s culture and values, partnering with our employees and managers to help them build, nurture and cultivate their project and management teams. It will be your role to be a team and organizational consultant, to help create People & Culture strategies to fit the leadership strategies for Skanska. This will require you to think national, and local, use strategy to guide your work, be comfortable challenging convention, and in some cases reinvent how work is done. As a core part of this work, you will be helping support Skanska and its leaders navigate and resolve issues, in addition to assisting with programs to support the respective operating teams - including compensation, recruitment, performance and talent programs.This role reports to the HR Shared Services Director Human Resources.What You'll Do:Supports in the business operations as a trusted partner.

o Operates with a business-focused mindseto Developing an understanding of the business strategy and the needs of the operationso Has an “ear to the ground” by interacting with project teams/departments on a regular basis and building trustExecute the full cycle talent acquisition process and employee onboarding within each the respective SSO/Inc. organizations.

o Deliver a recruitment experience in concert with Talent Acquisition tools that engages candidates.o Screen applications, schedule and participate in candidate interviews with local management teamso Promote an employer brand both within and outside of the companyo Execute work practices that specifically improve the candidate and new-employee experience(s)Provide local support, aligned with our corporate Mobility Policies to ensure inbound and out bound Mobility program assignees and their families have a seamless transition between assignments

Liaison for HR-related services for employees and the business.

o Support employee compliance with Covid-19 local and national requirements and programso Support HR programs that are linked to business performanceo Partner with enterprise resources, yet adapts services to directly address team needso Partners directly with HR Services team to ensure all requests are communicated clearly and aligned with established workflows ensuring that transactions can be completed in a timely mannerLeverages strategic approaches while providing individual consulting services.

o Work closely with employees to provide coachingo Support strategic talent priorities, employee engagement and team effectivenesso Maintain a consistent visible presence on project sites and with departments and is considered the HR liaison for managers and teamso Support teaming/partnering services internally as well as with external partnersSupports solutions throughout business.

o Developing problem solving skills and critical thinking to methodically break down problems into components to discover root causeso Developing systemic thinking and the ability to think ahead and anticipate potential implications of what is happening on projects/in departments and develops solutions to capitalize on/account forPartners within and across business units to deliver the employee experience.

o Summarize important points or messages, framing the message to the audience using meaningful terms and examplesDevelops data-supported conclusions and action plans.

o Assist with informing the business with workforce insights that predict patterns and behavior that are linked to business performanceo Assist with organizing, interpreting and presenting complex sets of data in a simplified and conclusive mannero Leverage KPIs and benchmarks to drive action and higher project or department performanceSupports the mitigation of current, and potential, risks and liabilities that face the organization in the employment space.

o Support the HR Shared Services Director to develop key mitigation plans on specific employment-related matters or for state/federal/municipality legislative changes.o May conduct initial investigations on employment, workplace-harassment or certain code-of-conduct matters with oversight from HR Shared Services Director.We're Looking For:Manages ambiguity, maintaining ability to work independently without having all the desired information, direction or instructions

Has a BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience. A degree in human resources management, labor relations or a related field of study, a Master’s degree is a plus.

Has 3 years of experience in human resources generalist or coordinator role in large national, regional or global companies

EnvironmentLocation: Charlotte, NC

Able to work independently in a virtual setting

Ability to travel up to 25%, potentially 50% at peak times
