Signature Consultants is seeking a Linux Engineer for an opportunity with a client located in Charlotte, NC.
Qualifications/Skills:
Provide Operating System technical and break/fix level support
Shell scripting and automation skills
Expertise in PowerHA, RHEL6 and 7, Redhat Clustering, VMware Technology
Proficient in performing OS administration tasks on RHEL 6+ running on ESX virtualized servers
In depth Linux knowledge required, including LVM, clustering and SAN multipathing
Ability to handle multiple tasks and adapt to a constantly changing environment
Ability to debug and troubleshoot network, performance and software issues
Knowledge of SAN based disk solutions and their configurations
Familiarity with tools like BladeLogic, DNT, ESM, vsphere client is a huge plus
Ability to work independently but also must be strong in team partnership
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organization skills
Exposure to SAP product suite is a plus
10+ years of systems engineering experience
Senior level experience Primarily with Redhat Linux
Experience with IBM AIX OS is a plus
Experience in Platform engineering for Redhat which includes but not limited to setting up Redhat repository, Satellite server , testing core tools with Linux
