We are seeking a shop mechanic for our fleet and equipment.The successful candidate will possess:Previous experience repairing small engines (e.g., lawnmowers, chainsaws, trimmers) and/or light vehicles used in landscaping (e.g., trucks, trailers).Knowledge of hydraulics, electrical systems, and power equipment.Experience diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on commercial landscape equipment.Familiarity with maintenance tools, equipment, and safety protocols.Basic welding or fabrication skills (optional but not required).Comfortable working in outdoor or workshop environments, often in varying weather conditions.Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination.Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.Time management skills to handle multiple repair tasks efficiently.Must own and supply basic tools (e.g., wrenches, sockets, screwdrivers); specialized tools or equipment will be provided.Strong attention to detailJob duties will include but are not limited to:Performs road tests on vehicles to assist in diagnosis and repair verificationDOT medical card required and acceptable MVR to company insurance standardsTest operates machinery to assist in diagnosis and repair verificationSkid steers, Mini excavators, Dingos etc.Conduct routine maintenance work on all company owned assetsMaintain service records and communicates progress with managementMaintain shop cleanliness and follows all safety policiesTransporting of equipment and vehicles between various company locationsAbility to tow a trailer safely and confidentlyWeld and fabricate metal components as neededOther duties as assigned by managementQualifications● Regularly works near moving machinery/tools which requires good manual dexterity and multi-limb coordination, must be able to move quickly and have excellent stamina.● Must be able to lift, push, pull or carry objects (over 50 lbs.), use legs, hips, shoulders, abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue● Proficient in reading and understand technical documents, diagrams, and service manualsCompensationWe offer a competitive salary that is negotiable based on experience and knowledge.BenefitsHealth InsuranceDental InsuranceVision InsuranceGroup/Voluntary Term Life InsuranceLife InsurancePaid Time Off (PTO) Apply now in 2 minutes!
