About this role:Wells Fargo is seeking a Technology Director for the Commercial and Corporate & Investment Banking Technology for Platform Strategy and Transformation team. This leader will be revamping and realigning the Platform organization to improve our support model and to address the strategic initiatives defined by our clients and line of business partners. In order to enhance our operating model, this position would be performing as the CCIBT Site Reliability Engineering head position will be accountable for the SRE strategy and team, delivering reliability improvements across the environment. This role is critical for achieving stability and reliability goals and transforming our culture/practices to proactive engineering led ones.Learn more about the career areas and lines of business at wellsfargojobs.comIn this role, you will:

Manage a team of engineering managers and engineering leads

Focus on delivering commitments aligned to enterprise strategic priorities

Build support for strategies with business and technology leaders

Guide development of actionable roadmaps and plans

Identify opportunities and strategies for continuous improvement of software engineering practices

Provide oversight to software craftsmanship, security, availability, resilience, and scalability of solutions developed by the teams or third party providers

Identify financial management and strategic resourcing

Set risk management guidelines and partner with stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives

Develop strategies for hiring engineering talent

Lead implementation of projects and encourage engineering innovation

Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including more experienced managers

Lead team to achieve objectives

Interface with external agencies, regulatory bodies or industry forums

Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Technology Strategic Leadership

Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy

Required Qualifications:

8+ years of Technology Strategic Leadership experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

4+ years of Management experience

5+ years of Site Reliability Engineering experience

4+ years of experience with scripting including but not limited to Python, Shell script, tool kits etc.

Desired Qualifications:

4+ years of experience managing, leading and influencing global teams and stakeholders

5+ years of ServiceNow experience

5+ years of experience with observability tools such as grafana, app dynamics, dynatrace, geneos, big panda, and promethus etc.

3+ years of experience with automation and AI Ops, for example ansible

Ability to lead change in a large scale, and complexity enterprise environment

Experience in financial services, in particular markets, payments, transaction banking and commercial banking

Job Expectations:

Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.

Ability to work onsite in the office in a hybrid model
