Sonus Access - Shared Services Access Project Engineer Charlotte NC Full Time Job Description Professional Competencies (Must Haves)
Must be highly motivated and a self-directed individual.
Excellent communication skills required, powerpoint and verbal
BA or BS in Telecommunications, Data Communications or Computer Science. 1-3 years of experience in LAN/WAN networking.
5+ Years SonRibbon session border controller experience.
5+ Years Carrier/ Call Delivery/Carrier Routing experience.
Strong hands-on knowledge of Cisco Enterprise
Strong knowledge of Sonus GSX Session Border Controller and SIP/TDM Trunking.
Extensive PBX/ACD experience.
Knowledge of SIP, RTP/RTCP, codecs G.729 & g.711, ISDN, H.323, H248, MGoogle Cloud Platform, is required.
Experience with configuration and support experience in a complex multi-layered network environment.
Excellent customer service skills including reporting, organization, written and oral communication and task prioritization.
Participate in cross-functional teams and ability to work effectively in a geographically dispersed team.
Experience working under tight deadlines and high pressure environment.
Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Capable of quickly learning new technologies and procedures, as well as being willing to train others in procedures mastered as part of implementations.
Database knowledge and Data Analytics, Microsoft Access/SQL
Key Responsibilities & Professional Competencies
Directly support engineering and deployment for SonRibbon 7k session border controller
Develop and write Toll Free orders for Carriers for terminations and features.
Develop and implement carrier migration/routing plans.
Provide local software and hardware support requiring complex integrated configurations in the areas of; Sonus, LAN/WAN, VoIP, SIP and Session Management.
Develop and write procedures for installation, removal, and configuration of SonRibbon gear, carrier circuits.
Obtain quotes from vendors for equipment placement, licensing, and removal.
Assist in the development of project supporting information to include Bill of Materials (BOMs), cost estimates and equipment placement requests.
Manage equipment ordering, shipping, receiving and asset management
Develop and execute program timelines/deliverables
Communication skills and ability to present complex ideas in a simple/straightforward fashion
Job Description:
The Bank of America Real Time Collaboration Access Engineering team directly supports Architecture and Engineering functions for enterprise and contact center voice/video products and solutions. The staff resources working in this position will be responsible for development of key session border controller engineering documentation in relation to fast moving projects within the Bank of America. Carrier and/or SonRibbon 7k experience a must, Fintech experience a plus.
