Clean Catch Fish Market is looking for exciting and experienced Sous chefs with a passion for seafood and customer service. The Sous chef will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the fish counter as well as back of the house prep. The Sous chef will be part of a well-knit team all working together in assuring the highest-level seafood quality, customer service and satisfaction as well as a great working environment for all Clean Catch Fish Market employees.

Sous Chef/ Fishmonger Requirements & Responsibilities

Working knowledge of fish anatomy and cooking techniques and recipes

Fill, maintain and merchandise Fish case (as directed)

Assure quality control for seafood products describing positives and negatives of product.

Excellent Retail Fish Cutting Skills

Assure highest level of customer service, including fielding/handling customer complaints and questions as required. Holding employees to same high standards of customer service

Coordinate with Kitchen employees to assure maximum product usage (seafood)

Adherence to the highest health and safety regulations; enforcement of safe in-store practices

Store maintenance including fix-its and cleanliness

Maximizing revenue based on weekly inventory

Properly rotating stock to insure quality and shelf life

Solving problems with help from others as they arise

Contribute to team effort by going above and beyond duties described here

Qualifications/ Skills

Experience or interest in working with seafood

Highest attention to detail and cleanliness

Great interpersonal and customer relationship skills

Passionate about seafood, cooking and food education

Abilities

Ability to pitch in wherever needed

Job Requirements:

Able and willing to lift boxes of seafood up to 50+lbs

This positions requires an employee who can work standing for 10-12+ hours a day, 5 days a week

Able to work weekends and holidays

Mon: Closed

Tue: 11:00am-6:00pm

Wed: 11:00am-6:00pm

Thu: 11:00am-6:00pm

Fri: 11:00am-6:00pm

Sat: 10:00am-5:00pm

Sun: 12:00am-5:00pm
