Construction company based out of Statesville, NChas opportunities available forFull-Time Modular Set & Finishing Crew Members. General laborers welcome to apply and can be trained in lieu of experience for some positions. Selected applicants will be setting, and finishing/trimming out modular buildings and will travel with existing crew throughout North and South Carolina to project sites.

A DAY IN THE LIFE AS A CONSTRUCTION SET CREW MEMBER

As a Construction Set Crew Member, you will report to the home office in Statesville, NC and travel to job sites with the existing crew. You will be armed with energy and will be a key contributor to the process of setting modular buildings by focusing on maintaining the highest quality, safe work behaviors, solid teamwork, continuous improvement of the manufacturing processes, and relentless attention to detail. You are self-motivated, tenacious to complete a job, can follow directions without constant supervision, and recognize the importance of a job well done. You will help set & finish large-scale commercial buildings all built in a controlled factory setting and then assembled onsite. The Construction Set Crew Member will participate in all aspects of the construction and assembly of modular building and will report directly to the owner of the company. WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

-Ability to stand and/or walk for the full duration of the workday.

-Must be willing to work outside in all four seasons

-Ability to lift 50lbs

- Strong work ethic required.

-Willingness to work long hours and travel overnight during busy season as projects are scheduled. All hotel expenses paid by company.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Previous modular set experience or finishing experience is a plus, but not required for all positions.

-Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in the construction or repair of houses or buildings

-Ability to communicate in English, both written and verbal

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

-Set (block and level) Modular Units

-Structurally fasten the units.

-Close up the exterior mate wall sheathing seams to provide a weather-tight product.

-Complete interior trim out, finish work, install siding, and skirting where applicable.

-Maintain company tools and materials. Inform management of any issues that arise.

The modular industry is extremely busy during the summer months. Applicant must be willing to work long hours during the busy season, ex: 12 hour days 6-7 days a week while traveling from site to site in the summer. In the winter or slower months applicant will stay more local, and will have a typical m-f workday.

Hourly rate will be determined upon construction experience, but minimum $200 per day is guaranteed. Must be available immediately upon hire. 1099 position.
