Position:Fertilizer Spray TechnicianDescription:We are currently looking for a hard-working individual to join our team as a Herbicide / Fertilizer Application manager. The ideal candidate will be expected to apply fertilizers and chemicals to grass areas to enhance plant growth and control weeds and pests.Responsibilities:Setting up and operating hand and power equipment to spray, and/or spread various chemicals and fertilizers.Maintaining records on chemical application activities in compliance with state and federal regulations, including inventories and Material Safety Data Sheets.Maintaining work area, chemical storage area, and equipment in a condition that promotes accurate applications and good safety practices.Scheduling and coordinating regularly scheduled pest control activities and responding to issues as they arise.Assisting in training grounds staff in pest and weed control safety and in fertilizer use applications.Installing, adjusting, and performing minor repairs on application equipment and sending out for service, as required.Acquiring and storing pesticide solutions; mixing or diluting specified chemicals or materials according to directions and applying them at the recommended rate.Instructing helpers, as required, in applying sprays and other materials.Inspecting outdoor areas and recommending necessary treatments.Qualifications:Knowledge of chemical application regulations and techniques.Understanding of turf pests and common weeds.Possession of a current driver’s license upon employment.Job Type:Full-timePay:$19-24 per hourSchedule/Location:Monday-Friday10-hour shifts, 40-50 hours per weekOur office in Fort Mill, SCWork Remotely:NoBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingEmployee assistance programPaid time offProfessional development assistanceReferral programRetirement planTuition reimbursementBenefit Conditions:Only full-time employees eligible Apply now in 2 minutes!
