ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Planting, pruning, weeding, fertilizing and mowing to maintain the appearance and health of the grounds
Maintaining equipment in a safe working condition
Knowledge of plants, landscaping equipment, tools and chemicals
Make recommendations for landscaping changes, new installations or enhancement to existing features
Utilize sustainable landscaping practices and be responsible for the proper disposal of waste and recycling
Resolve issues that arise; equipment breakdowns, weather related challenges and unexpected events.
Snow and ice removal
Power washing
Maintain records related to maintenance activities, expenses and equipment maintenance
Track inventory of spare parts, tools, chemicals and equipment
Assist with training of junior staff
Be willing to work some pre-planned nights and weekends
Participate in certain department meetings.
