Universal Black Oxide is a metal finishing company in Gastonia, NC, specializing in black oxide and passivation.
We are looking for a new team member to work in the shop:
Daily Tasks Include:
Operate black oxide and passivation lines (training will be provided)
Load parts into baskets, racks, tumblers, and/or shelves efficiently
Wipe down parts and pack into customer packaging ensuring no comingling of parts
Communicate with co-workers regarding customer parts & productions runs
Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment
Detect and report defective parts or questionable quality to supervisor
Maintain work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follow prescribed safety procedures.
Operate a forklift (training will be provided)
Operate electric hoist (training will be provided)
Job Requirements:
Team player with strong attention to detail and customer service
Ensure customer parts are not comingled
Perform physical inspection of part for quality control
Complete and maintain paperwork for parts
Lift up to 60lbs
Ability to stand on concrete for 8 hours a day
Must wear all required Personal Protective Equipment
Must follow Safety and Environmental Polices and Guiding Principles
Hours: 8am to 4pm
$16 per hour
