Make a Difference Leadership Role Program Decision Authority
The Cure Forward Foundation is seeking a dedicated individual to fill our open Treasurer seat on the Board of Directors. This is a non-paid governance position, but it carries a major level of responsibility — including voting on how funds directly support cancer patients across North Carolina, holding a key Board title Treasurer, shaping how our programs operate and grow.
Our mission is clear and powerful: Provide direct support to North Carolina cancer patients and families — including medical travel, household assistance, emergency aid, and community programs.
## What This Board Position Offers
- Official Treasurer title on the Board of Directors
- Full authority to vote on all financial decisions
- Legal authority to sign Board-approved documents
- Direct power to decide how raised funds are used to help cancer patients in North Carolina
- A high-responsibility leadership role shaping the foundation’s future
- Only four quarterly votes/meetings required (remote)
## What This Board Position Is NOT
- Not a paid position
- Not a sales or fundraising quota role
- Not time-heavy day-to-day work
## Your Responsibilities
- Attend quarterly board meetings
- Review proposed initiatives, budgets, and assistance programs
- Vote on which programs and families receive support
- Help guide long-term mission planning and community impact
- Maintain ethical governance and mission alignment
## Who Should Apply
We welcome an individual who:
- Want to help shape how our foundation serves cancer patients
- Have integrity, maturity, and good judgment
- Bring experience in healthcare, business, nonprofit work, education, community leadership, or lived cancer experience
- MUST reside in North Carolina
- Do NOT need to donate or raise funds — just bring leadership
