Job Description:
This is D2D (Door to Door) baby! Canvassing to setup roof inspections! This job is simple but it is not easy. I have seen seasoned business owners not be able to knock doors and setup leads with confidence. I am a local Roofing Sales rep looking to keep my pipeline full and growing and want to bring on my own canvasser to increase my Sales. This is not a job for someone not willing to walk for several hours, work on Saturdays or work evenings. All of those three things just mentioned is exactly what’s required for this role. I have knocked hundreds of doors myself and am not above this, but at this point in time in my career it is no longer the most valuable use of my time. This position could definitely turn into being a full-time Sales Rep if you so choose. If you can knock doors and generate business the other parts of the Sales Job can be learned.
Training:
- I would be training you myself going out and knocking several times together until you are comfortable with the pitch and how to interact/what to say at the door.
- There is an initial training in our Facility of about 6 hours to become familiar with various types of roofs and roof components so you can have competent conversations at the door with homeowners.
- I will also be training you on specific areas to go where we know the roofs are either older or have sustained recent storms so there is a higher likelihood homeowners would be interest in an inspection.
- There is a canvassing application you will utilize on your phone that is extremely easy to learn and navigate and doesn’t take up much space at all on your phone.
- I have personally sold almost 300 roof jobs over the past 3.5 years and would start you in neighborhoods I’ve already built up a recognition of the Kaiser brand
Skills/Experience Required:
- You MUST have the ability to be told No and not have that wreck your day. Tough skin is required as you will be told no a lot. Having said that if you can get a yes 2-5 times per week which is VERY normal (yes these are actual avg. numbers from 2 previous canvassers of mine) you can easily make an extra $2,000 per month consistently.
- Experience canvassing prior is Ideal but not required

- Mom looking for some additional income
- Teachers looking for additional income in the Summer months
- Late teen who is looking for their first job
- Someone in between jobs looking to supplement their income
Requirements:
- Valid Drivers License
- Must dress professional while canvassing (you will be provided Company Polos)
- The willingness to knock doors in evenings and on Saturdays when homeowners are home. Up to you when to knock but you will see the most success during these times.
- Solid well formed communication between us to ensure no balls are being dropped

- I will personally compensate you above and beyond the initial $100 for specific jobs. This agreement will be worked out between us once you are generating some leads and we have learned how to best work together

- 0 Micromanagement from me. We will be in constant communication when you are in the field as you will be setting the inspections based on my availability but I am never going to try and push you to knock more. How much you want to make is up to you.
