Job Description:

This is a unique individual contributor role for a software developer or engineer to build, design, develop, and execute complex testing. Candidate should have strong software development skills and understand the complete Software Development Life Cycle. Candidate will contribute across multiple technical stacks, one a large Hadoop based data warehouse, and two a user interactive data quality application with Java/Oracle backend. In both cases, candidate will design, develop, and execute a comprehensive automated regression test suite using custom or vendor solutions to thoroughly test applications before moving to production. These automated tests must ensure that the complete applications are thoroughly tested without manual testing intervention. Candidate will also ensure these tests meet Quality reporting standards for the bank.

Requirements:

• Masters/Bachelor's Degree in information systems or related field.
  
• Need minimum 5 or more years of experience in software development and/or testing
  
• Experience with automation framework development using Java, Python, Perl, and/or vendor tools
  
• Experience working in Agile environment
  Strong database skills
  
• Strong analytical ability, independent problem solving, and good communication skills
  
• Required Technical Skills/Tools :
  Unix, SQL
  Java, Perl, Python
  
• Additional preferred skills :
  Hadoop Ecosystem HDFS, Hive, Impala, HUE

Creates and optimizes test processes including defect management and reporting. Contributes to building quality into the SDLC using best practices and tools. Creates a test automation strategy across the application stack (UI, API, and Backend, etc.). Creates and optimizes test automation frameworks and use of test automation tools. Leads test planning for complex features that span across the platform or multiple teams. Ensures alignment and sign off for test cases from business and other stakeholders. Optimizes test suites employing techniques such risk-based testing. Manages test execution and assists with resolving, communicating or escalating any issues that may result in test plan variance. Contributes to test data management approach, processes and tools. Conditions and generates test data and ensure data compliance requirements are met on all levels of test environments. Assists in identifying and managing sensitive test data. Designs test data and ensures data compliance requirements are met on all levels of test environments. Assists in identifying and managing sensitive test data. Participates in triaging reported issues/defects and assists with resolving or escalating them as necessary. Creates and manages traceability. Traces tests forwards/backwards through the development lifecycle and back to requirements. Uses testing tools and follows processes to complete testing on a given test environment and assists with fulfillment of necessary steps required to promote code base to higher level environments.
