About Anderson Mobile Grooming: We are a family owned and operated mobile grooming company serving the Charlotte metro area. Our goal is to provide convenient, compassionate, and high-quality pet grooming services for our Charlotte area friends and neighbors and their pets. Our goal is to ensure every pet we work with feels loved, comfortable, and cared for by our staff, right at their human’s doorsteps.
As a Pet Groomer at Anderson Mobile Grooming, you will:
1. drive the company van to and from our client’s homes
2. greet and talk with our clients, AKA our friends and neighbors
3. answer all questions about our various service offerings
4. treat our client’s beloved animal family members with the same care and respect you would treat your own pets
5. complete all grooming services we offer, right outside our client’s doorsteps, in our mobile grooming salons
6. collect payments
7. communicate with customers through our CRM, aka customer relationship management system, “Moego.”
As a Lead Pet Groomer at Anderson Mobile Grooming, you will also:
1. assist in the development of our service offerings and descriptions on our website
2. assist in the development of sample before and after photos of pets
3. assist (and star in!) the development of grooming videos showing the van in action, serving our community
4. assist in the recruiting, hiring, and interviewing process for our grooming team
5. assist in the creation of a performance management program for our grooming team
6. assist in the development of our company culture
7. assist in the development of our groomer career paths
8. assist and participate in our company launch event and subsequent events around the community
Qualifications / Requirements:
3 years of experience as a professional pet groomer
Valid Driver’s license
Accept a criminal background check
Transportation to and from work AKA where our vans are stored and charged overnight, where you’ll start and end each day
Portfolio of before and after pictures of pets
Knowledge of dog breeds and their grooming and care standards
Leadership skills with the ability to coach and mentor team members in a culture first environment
Time management skills: Must be able to adhere to the daily driving and grooming schedule
Ability to self critique the quality of grooms, holding oneself to the highest standards
Ability to work on your feet, standing for long periods of time, grooming up to 3 large dogs in a row for 1 client / dog owner
Ability to safely lift 60 lb
Willing to work in a smoke free environment
Ability to make animals comfortable with you, patience, kindness as they warm up to you or are potentially fearful of being groomed / entering the mobile grooming salon with you.
Other Details:
This position is either Part Time (30 hours) or Full Time (40 hours). (3 days / week (minimum) OR 4 days / week, 10 hours / day including grooming and driving). We are flexible. You will submit your availability ahead of time, choosing 3 days or 4 days / week.
You choose your workdays and hours (between 7am and 7pm).
Must be willing to work 2 weekend days / month.
Compensation:
$25 / hour minimum, guaranteed for 40 hours / week for the 1st 12 weeks.
Week 13 and beyond: You earn a share of the revenue you generate. Total annual compensation for full time: up to 76k annually
