Beacon Hill is now hiring for a Facility Access/ Building Security Director who can come on site five days a week in uptown Charlotte, NC. This is a direct hire position, not a contract role. NOT on weekends.35% travel but the amount changes/not consistent, so must be flexible. Important Skills Minimum of 5 years' experience in Access Control and/or project management.System design and blueprint review for access control and camera systemsAbility to prioritize tasks and manage resources effectively.Proficiency in using security systems and software.Experience in vendor management and negotiation.Knowledge of security regulations and best practices.Knowledge of mechanical door hardware.Experienced in low voltage wiring.Ticket system management. Must be able to stand & walk for extended periods (site audits)Responsibilities: Responsible for the day-to-day security technology for company clientsRun daily operations from the office, including managing the service queue and prioritizing tasks based on site requirements.Initiate communication with site contacts to gather relevant information for service calls.Manage stock and coordinate with vendors for quotes, walkthroughs, etc. Supervise in-house techniciansAssign service calls, and manage employee schedules.Handle administrative tasks such as timesheets, PTO requests, and performance reviews for technicians.Deal with third party vendorsManage new vendor setup and billing processes for the department.Develop and maintain a training system to onboard new hires.Create and maintain an equipment lifecycle plan, including audits, battery replacements, and end-of-life preparation.Manage licenses for various security systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.Design security systems, including access control and video security, in coordination with project development and construction teams.Understand integration capabilities between various access control systems when multiple system types are installed at a single location.Beacon Hill is an Equal Opportunity Employer that values the strength diversity brings to the workplace.
