Electrician Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Electrician / Mini Excavator Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in underground electrical conduit installation (PVC) and be proficient in operating mini excavators for trenching and backfilling. This role involves fieldwork on commercial, residential, and light industrial job sites.
Responsibilities:
Install underground PVC conduit for electrical systems according to NEC and local building codes.
Operate mini excavators safely and efficiently to trench for underground conduit installations.
Read and interpret electrical plans, site drawings, and utility markings to ensure accurate conduit placement.
Perform wire pulls through installed conduit systems using proper tools and techniques.
Qualifications for Electrician:
4+ years of electrical experience in a commercial setting.
1+ year of experience operating mini excavators
Proficiency with wire pulling, bending, and running EMT conduit.
Ability to terminate and troubleshoot.
Must be able to safely use hand/power tools and PPE
Must be able to perform job duties that require standing, crouching, twisting upper body, working at heights, and lifting up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
Position requires the use of PPE, including: Steel-Toe work boots, safety vest, hard hat, safety glasses, and gloves
Must have standard electrical hand tools.
Additional Requirements for Electrician:
Must be eligible to work in the United States
Must have reliable transportation to the job site
