We are seeking an experienced Welding Overhead Crane Installation and Fabrication Technician to join our team!
As a key member of our fabrication department, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and fabricating overhead cranes, including welding components together using stick welding techniques, as well as some MIG welding. Your strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and ability to work at heights (up to 20 feet) will be essential in ensuring the safe and successful completion of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
-Install and assemble overhead cranes, including hoists, trolleys, and other components
-Fabricate custom parts and components for cranes, including welding together steel plates, beams, and other materials using stick welding techniques
-Perform MIG welding on occasion to complete specific projects or repairs
-Inspect and test crane installations to ensure compliance with safety codes and regulations
-Troubleshoot and repair crane malfunctions or defects
-Collaborate with other team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively
-Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and regulations
-Participate in quality control inspections to ensure conformance to specifications and standards
