A maintenance mechanic helper, also known as a mechanic helper, maintenance aide, or technician's helper, helps with the maintenance, repair, and installation of vehicles, industrial machinery, and electrical and electronic equipment.
Their duties may include:
Assisting mechanics: Help mechanics with tasks such as tune-ups, oil changes, tire and brake checks, spark plug replacements, and electrical system repairs.
Providing supplies: Fetch tools, materials, and supplies for other workers.
Cleaning: Keep the work area, machines, and tools clean.
Maintaining inventory: Keep track of replacement parts and equipment.
Inspecting: Make sure tools and equipment are in working order.
Logging: Update maintenance and repair logs for vehicles.
