Looking for a PERMANENT NOT SEASONAL driver with an Active Class A CDL driver license that has 12 months within the last 36 months or 60 months within the last 120 months of Tractor Trailer Driving experience. Must have or be willing to acquire simultaneous with qualification process a Doubles Endorsement (not all legs are doubles but some legs do require doubles)
The Company is a contractor for FedEx Corporation and has positions available. Specific positions can't be offered until applicant completes a third party background screening FedEx Corporation requires of drivers working for FedEx contractors.
Position #1: Night time (start time 10-1130PM). Driver to run dedicated routes 5 nights per week. All routes are no touch freight and feature 4-8 legs per night and run 426-492 miles per night. Routes can run 10-12 hours per night depending on exact assignment and drivers weekly pay based on completing all assigned legs will be from $330-$356 a day which is $1653-$1780 a week. There is no stay away from home or 10 hour layovers in any of these runs.
Position #2: Mid day local driver (start time 11AM-2PM) to take empty trailers and bring back loaded (no touch) trailer local to the Charlotte area. There is no touch of freight as driver either drops at one door and picks up from another or has to perform a same door switch. Work weeks are 34-40 hours per week and driver should generate $1050.00-$1250.00 per week depending on individual production.
Company benefits include Paid Time Off after 26 weeks of service with time off accumulating each week. For full-time drivers this is equivalent to 15 paid days off per year. Drivers are allowed to use Paid Time Off for extra cash.
Qualification include the driving experience indicated above. No accidents within the past 12 months, no more than 1 ticket or accident within past 36 months, no felonies or misdemeanors that involve theft or violence within past 10 years, and ability to pass a DOT drug screen.
