Essential Functions and Responsibilities:Create an inspirational environment for learning musicProvide weekly instruction for students, both one-on-one lessons and group lessons, for our 18-week Fall and our 18-week Spring semesters. Summer term work will also be available, but not requiredPrepare students for year-end recitals, by choosing pieces appropriate to their level (that are both challenging and enjoyable) and helping them prepare well in advanceEnsure that students are learning the fundamentals of musicCreate and document thoughtful lesson plansInteract with parents and students regularly by being visible and accessible in the schoolAssist as needed during lessons in the overall execution of a program (assisting in rehearsals, basic maintenance in school musical equipment, etc.)Perform other duties and responsibilities as required, assigned, or requested
