Job Title: Data Engineer(ETL/Snowflake/Apache Airflow) Location: Durham, North Carolina We are currently sourcing for a Senior Data Developer to work in Durham, NC.
Top Required Skills:
APACHE AIRFLOW IS REQUIRED FOR THIS ROLE!
Snowflake - 1-2 years experience with snowflake data loading and performance, consumption and load. Would take a SQL expert over 1 to 2 snowflake people if we had them.
AWS cloud experience required. Looking for 10+ years of experience in data management, data modeling, ETL, SQL, should have worked in Informatica before to know the concept of data loads, (ETL) this is the core skill. Scale of 1-10, they need to be a 9 in SQL. Change data capsule tools to extract data. Drive the work on their own, these are lead type roles.
About Project/ Team:
This project is focused on a project called one stop life shop, it's a part of their data lake migration strategy (they are consolidating their data from multiple sources into once placeSnowflake). Currently there are like 80 databases that they're decommissioning including Sybase and some Oracle instances. The data is all in disparate places right now and some data is visible, others not. There's a 2 year roadmap to migrate the data and then 2 years after that to open up the data from consumption. Omni Channel is live now. One Stop life-shop has given some Defined Benefits and SPS funding to build out these platforms, creating a total service offering to Client workplace investing clients. Long term projects with potential to run through 2026. We are currently sourcing for a Senior Data Developer to work in Durham, NC!
The Expertise You Have:
Bachelor's degree
10+ years experience in designing and delivering data lake, data warehouses and reporting platforms
High level of SQL experience is a must
Experience with Extract, Transform & Load and ELT development is required
Experience with database technologies (at least 2) such as Snowflake Oracle, Postgres, SQL Server a must
Data Modeling skills and experience with relational and dimension models is required
Experience with Cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure and Snowflake
Experience with CI/ CD and software version control
Experience with reporting tools such as Tableau, OBIEE, etc. is a plus
Programming experience is preferred with Python, Java desired

The Role: This role is a senior level position in the development team and will be responsible to guide and help design the technical solution and in addition will be hands on technology professional. This role will closely collaborate with the squad and chapter lead for ensuring the right solution and be accountable for the squad's delivery.
The Team: The team/ squad will part of a larger chapter which is focused on delivering a state of the art analytics platform. While the initiative is at the Fidelity enterprise level the squad will be focused on the Workplace Investing (WI) Business unit.
