Overview
We are seeking an Experienced Purchaser to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in procurement management and supply chain operations, with a proven track record in contract negotiation and supplier management. This role is critical in ensuring that our organization maintains efficient purchasing processes while adhering to quality standards and compliance regulations.
Duties
Able to read, self-motivate, interpret & follow instructions, take good notes and take direction with minimal guidance
Be punctual, prepared and ready to work as scheduled or as needed
Able to work with others and or alone with minimal supervision
Collaborate with internal teams to understand purchasing needs
Must be a quick-thinker, a multi-tasker, flexible with time management, be able to shift attention to numerous tasks at once, or at any given moment
Proficient and detailed oriented in managing report levels such as inventory and cost control
Proficient in negotiating pricing with suppliers / vendors
Evaluating vendors based on quality and pricing
Analyze trends to find cost-savings opportunities
Manage the procurement process from sourcing to contract management, ensuring timely acquisition of materials and services.
Quick learner and trainable
Have valid Driver's License and reliable transportation
Skills
Minimum 3 years experience
Strong organizational, negotiation and communication skills to ensure the company receives necessary resources efficiently and at the best possible terms
Record keeping and inventory and quality control – monitor stock levels to prevent shortages or overstocking, identify cost-savings opportunities, ensuring purchased goods and services meet quality standards, maintain accurate and up-to-date records of purchases and transactions
Safety compliance - strict adherence to osha safety rules, regulations and company guidelines, in addition adhering to all health, safety and regulatory standards within the warehouse, restock PPE (personal protective equipment)
Receiving and unloading - this warehouse candidate on a daily basis, cleans, receives, stores, picks, packs, stocking, restocking, accepting deliveries, inspecting shipments for accuracy and damage organizes and ensures accurate inventory counts and a safe work environment for all
Strong negotiation skills with experience in contract management and sourcing.
Ability to problem solve
Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with suppliers and internal teams.
