Core Duties:
ï§Be a mentor to other team members by teaching them proper techniques of pipe installation
ï§Be punctual, dependable and professional at all times
ï§Work with cost effectiveness, profitability and safety in mind
ï§Lead by example
ï§Lead the safety effort by recognizing and correcting hazards as soon as they are present
ï§Arrive at work prior to designated work start time
ï§Ensure trench is excavated to the proper depth/grade
ï§Conduct trench work which meets OH&S requirements
ï§Operate the loader on public roadways, maintaining proper awareness of one's surroundings.
ï§Work with Safety department to investigate damage, incidents or near misses in the worksite, and ensure proper procedures are carried out according to the Company's Safety Program
ï§Follow directions of ground crew regarding craning, gravel placement and grading
ï§Attend daily safety and project coordination meeting
ï§Proficient in safe operation of Loader
ï§Check fluid levels daily before use
ï§Use correct lifting devices to maintain safety for all team members within the equipment radius
ï§Install and remove safety devices required for work operations
ï§Unload delivered construction materials
ï§Ensure equipment stays in clean working order and report any issues to Pipe Foreman
ï§Restore post construction work to original condition or better
ï§Communicate time away from work with your team leader and other team members with sufficient notice to make plans for changing personnel to focus on the priorities
ï§Willingness to work hours as required

OSHA Training
Trenching and Shoring Competent Person
Rigging
First Aid/CPR
