Description: Lockheed Martin is seeking a L4 Motor Vehicle Mechanic for Fayetteville, NC.Duty Description:Perform routine maintenance and repair support to military and civilian motor vehicles.Perform refurbishment, modification and other specialized maintenance actions as may be required.Repair, rebuild, or overhaul major assemblies of internal combustion vehicles.Diagnose sources of trouble in motor vehicles and provide corrective action.Rebuild carburetors, overhaul transmissions, and repair fuel injection, lighting and ignition systems.Perform maintenance/repair to vehicle drive train and ancillary components.Work independently during support to unit sub-organizations away from home station with no oversight during daily tasks and planning.Teach, Coach, Mentor newly assigned military personnel on peculiar vehicles associated with the unit.Serve as drivers for fleet Tractor/Trailers in accordance with law, have a valid Commercial Driver's License.Support offsite training missions for up to a maximum of 60 days.Provide off-cycle support to the unit outside of normal duty hours in order to assist in the reconstitution of a short notice vehicle fleet.Job does require some traveling both CONUS and OCONUS.Basic Qualifications:Minimum of 20 years experience and 12 qualifying certifications from the list below:CDL - Commercial Truck Driver SchoolNCDMV - North Carolina Vehicle State Inspection SchoolOBDII - North Carolina State Inspection School for Vehicle OBDII (on board diagnostics/emissions systems)TIG/MIG - Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) Welding School and Metal Inert Gas (MIG) Welding SchoolAGMS - Armored Ground Mobility System/Vehicle (Pandur) Specialized Training SchoolMMI - Marine Motorcycle Institute/SchoolMMI2 – Marine Motorcycle Institute/School Electronic Troubleshooting CourseUTI - Universal Technical Institute/SchoolPaint/Body - Paint and Body School/CoursePolaris Defense - Specialized School for all Polaris Defense Systems and VehiclesCSV - Combat Support Vehicle School/CourseFUSO – Special Vehicle School/CourseZodiac – Boat and Outboard Motor School/CourseEvinrude – Outboard Motor School/CourseAlignment – Front End Alignment School/CourseDrill Rig – Special School for Drill Rigs and Associated EquipmentMust be able to perform maintenance and repair support to military and civilian motor vehicles.Candidates with less years of mechanic experience and/or qualified certifications, if selected, would be hired at a lower hourly rate.Ability to obtain a secret security clearance, therefore all candidates must be a US Citizen.Desired Skills:Current DOD Secret ClearanceBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:job.QualificationsLockheed Martin is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
