Live-in Caregiver

This position is in Rockingham, NC. We are in need of a live-in caregiver. Position would start sometime between August 1st and September 1st, 2025. We prefer a female because the patient is female and prefers that. The caregiver would be responsible for changing, help with dressing, meals, help with showers, clothes washing, attend with me her doctor's appointments, giving her her meds, general housekeeping, and a companion when she wishes. The job is really quite easy except for getting her up and down. But that might even change if she has surgery on her foot that is clubbed from a stroke. She is very alert and mind is sharp. She likes to stay up late and sleep late usually until about 11 am. Most of your work would be between 11 am and 5 pm but even then lots of free time. Your free time would be your own but would ask that you let me know if you want to leave the house so I can be on alert for her needs. She is usually changed 11am, about 4 pm, and 11 pm. Only other changes would be if she soils herself and she would be needing a change immediately. We have walkie-talkies so you can always be in contact with her and me. You would be provided a large private room with private bath that is right down the hall from patient. My husband and I live downstairs. All your room and board is taken care of along with 500.00 a week. We have an excessive amount of TV options with larger flat screens and a TV in almost every room. You would give me a list of food, snacks and beverages that you wish to prepare and have on hand. If you need time off I would need to know in advance to schedule someone else. The patient likes things orderly and can be quite particular. This is comical most of the time and she laughs with you. She is sensitive and very sweet but can be a little demanding. The caregiver would have to have a positive attitude and hopefully a bubbly personality. You would need to be able to somewhat lift her but she can stand on one foot right now and knows how to pivot to get in wheelchair or bed. If she does have the foot surgery it would get even easier once it has healed. The caregiver and the patient have the whole top floor to themselves. I am in and out but almost always available if caregiver needs assistance. She loves her coffee and cigarettes after lunch which we have porch with a/c and heat to smoke. If you feel this is something you could enjoy, please text me at 910-823-6822. I will need references and background information. But nothing too intrusive. Thank you and hope to hear from a strong, positive and bubbly person soon. Thank you!
