Job Title: Assistant Property Manager

Reports To: Property Manager / Regional Property Manager

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Works directly with current residents and prospective residents.

2. Posts rental payments and deposits accurately.

3. Processes rental applications including employment verification, rental references, criminal, and credit checks.

4. Handles resident concerns/questions.

5. Markets the community.

6. Utilizes company and state guidelines and rules.

7. Uses Yardi property management software.

8. Answers multiple telephone lines.

9. Emails prospective residents, sets appointments, and tours the community.

10. Cleans when necessary.

11. Stocks each leasing desk with documents.

12. Orders office supplies.

Language Ability:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Math Ability:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Blue Moon and Yardi.

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
