We are hiring Odell Smith & Sons has been a local grading and utility contractor since 1960 employing many of it employees for 20+ years. We work as a family to get each and every job complete, while making sure loved ones make it home safely everyday.
Currently, we are looking to hire on a field mechanic to run our fuel/lube truck along with doing basic maintenance & service work on our machines.
Skills we are looking for: mechanical inclined, can change engine oils, hydraulic oil, other fluids, works on small engines, changes hydraulic lines, starters, batteries, teeth, cuttings edges, good at communication, good attitude, problem solving, not shy of physical labor, practices safety, organized, responsible, can work with others, has a drivers license, and can order parts.
Daily task would include fueling and greasing all of the fleets machines. Checking and keeping up with up coming services. Preforming basic services such as changing fluids. Checking for cutting edge or teeth wear and installing new ones. Ordering parts that are needed and picking them up. Keeping a detailed log on services and keeping all filters ordered and in stock.
