Summary About the Position: This position is with USAJFK SPECIAL WARFARE CENTER & SCHOOL, FT Liberty NC. Responsibilities Represents the Division in force development and integration working groups and Doctrine, Organization, Training Material, Leadership and Education, Personnel and Facilities (DOTMLPF) analysis groups. Manages the production and staffing of assigned SF doctrinal publications, and other doctrine-related products. Serves as the point of contact to the Literature Development Division during editing, initial and final production of assigned field manuals and other publications Reviews and prepares white papers on new concepts, memoranda, fact sheets, and information papers to generate responses to management inquiries. Responses to Interagency, Combined, Joint, Multi-service, Army, and ARSOF training literature, products, and programs. Serves as subject matter expert (SME) for SF doctrine, tactics, techniques and procedures (TTP), force structure, interagency initiatives, organizations and equipment for SF operations. Writes, analyzes, and develops doctrine for the Special Forces (SF) operations responsible for the advancement of new and updated/revised doctrine for the United States Army (USA) SF element. Oversee the doctrine development process and establishes suspense's for doctrinal products and prepares tasking memoranda for doctrine staffing and reviews by external agencies and participates in functional. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Applying knowledge of Special Forces missions, capabilities, tactics, techniques and procedures (TTP) to serve as a subject matter expert for Special Forces doctrine; 2) Applying doctrine to plan and conduct special forces operations; and 3) Analyzing and evaluating Special Forces doctrine and tactics, techniques and procedures (TTP) to modify current doctrine or develop new doctrine in support of evolving initiatives. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience aloneno substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Operating Systems Organizational Awareness Technical Documentation Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11). Education Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required.
