The Stock Clerk (SSA) under the supervision of the Section Supervisor and Lead, performs the full range of warehouse duties. Must have knowledge of current automated system, warehousing methods, procedures and techniques, and utilize this to stack, palletize, and arrange items in stock locations. ResponsibilitiesThis position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company. MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES:
Work with the Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-Army) to receive, issue and storage of class II, IV and IX repair parts.
Locates information on issue documents (MRO) and compares information on documents with parts being pull or put-a-ways.
Must know the procedures for processing and finalizing documentation on incoming shipments. Locate items from information on issue documents and compares identifying information on document with locations bin tickets and national stock number.
Receive items from CRP, inspect items, and verify national stock number, nomenclature, quantity and process in the G-Army system. Signs documents confirming receipt of items.
Receive incoming shipments and assists in unloading vehicles at loading ramp. Inspects for damages, check items received against shipping documents and sign receipts as appropriate.
Participates in periodic and special inventories.
Customer services, answer telephones, provide advice, guidance and information as appropriate.
Operates Material Handling Equipment (forklifts) 2,000 – 6,000lbs.
Perform Preventive Maintenance Checks & Services (PMCS) before, during and after use of forklifts.
Performs other duties as assigned.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as cloth/disposable face masks covering the nose and mouth, safety vest, steel or composite shoes/boots, safety gloves, hard hat and eyewear in assigned areas.
Must be able to work in indoor and outdoor environments with various climates.
Warehouse environment with limited heat or cooling abilities.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:
Must be able to lift a maximum of 50 pounds. (Before you lift an object, it is important to know its weight. If it weighs more than 50lbs., you should use a “two-person lift,” or use a mechanical lift system.)
Must be able to operate in a warehouse and outdoor type environment.
Must be able to walk on uneven ground and within work various sites 6-8 hours a day in performance of duties.
Employee use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required is certain areas. Such PPE includes but is not limited to head, foot, hand, torso, respiratory, vision and hearing protective devices.
Must comply with OSHA, EPA, Fire Regulations and published Company work rules.
QualificationsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATIONS/CERTIFICATION:
Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
GCSS-Army certification must be obtained within 3 months of employment.
Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening.
Must have a valid State Driver’s License with no restrictions.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC).
Must be able to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship, such as a birth certificate or a U.S. Passport.
Must be able to maintain driving privileges aboard the Fort Liberty Installation.
EXPERIENCE:
2 years or more supply chain or logistical operations
Possess high ethical standards and demonstrate professionalism.
Must be familiar with the Department of the Army Inventory Management System.
Ability to prioritize, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment, and interact at all levels.
Capacity to work well under pressure and tight deadlines.
Strong written and verbal communications skills; ability to interact at all levels.
Other duties as assigned to meet organizational/operational objectives.
