The duties listed below are not all of the duties that may be assigned but are those that are considered as essential for an employee to perform.
Clinic Duties: Assists with patient exams and clinic activities. This activity may be performed in the main building or at a satellite clinic location. Measures vital signs, height, weight and records in electronic health record. Assists provider(s) with patient procedures, collection of specimens, and accompanies them during exams. Performs cleaning of exam room in between patients and documents on cleaning checklist. Records all pertinent information in the Electronic Health Record.
Inventory and clinic rooms: Orders supplies, receives and rotates stock, stock exam rooms and work areas according to PAR levels, keep all exam rooms and clinic areas clean.
Additional miscellaneous duties/tasks include but are not limited to: cleaning and autoclaving instruments, completing spore testing and other compliance checks and documenting results; checking eyewash stations and documenting results.
Attend team huddles, as scheduled and participate in all team meetings.
Participates in yearly competence activities for PHS Division staff. Participates in in-services, trainings, and meetings.
Assists in preparedness and emergency response activities in situations that threaten the public's health (i.e. disease outbreaks, natural disasters, etc.), as needed.
Carryout Performance Management (PM) roles and responsibilities, including identifying and communicating performance improvement opportunities and adjusting performance and practice to achieve established PM goals.
Implement strategies aimed at achieving Health Equity, including but not limited to: attending trainings to better understand inequities, identifying and addressing barriers to health, serving on the Health Equity Team or its subcommittees, engaging in internal or external efforts to eliminate health disparities.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum QualificationsGraduation with a High School diploma or GED equivalency with one year of similar experience in a Public Health Clinic, Physician Office, Nursing home or similar setting is required.A valid CPR certification and NC Driver's License are required. Current Nurse Aide Assistant I Certification issued by the NC Board of Nursing is required.All certifications must be attached to the application in order to be considered for further review.Additional InformationMinimally qualified applicants will start at 25% of the salary range:$16.24/hr.The applicant selected must undergo a criminal background check and pass a drug screening test prior to employment
