Customer Service Rep - O'Neal Steel / Greensboro, NC

DescriptionO'Neal Steel is currently seeking a Customer Service Representatives to assist our Sales Department at our Greensboro, NC office.The Customer Service Representative performs assigned tasks to assist in the overall sales effort of the District or Region. As directed by sales or inventory management, obtains local buy-out materials from approved suppliers at the lowest cost consistent with considerations of quality, reliability of source and urgency of need. Responsibilities May Include But Are Not Limited To:

Analyze quotations received, select or recommend suppliers with whom orders are to be placed.

Locate fill-in inventory from local suppliers to meet urgent requirements.

Key quotations and correspondence as directed by sales representatives.

Assist in the preparation of reports and recording keeping regarding the sales function.

Assist sales representatives in expediting and follow‑up of orders.

Assist with incoming customer calls by directing them to the appropriate individual or department needed to resolve problems or complaints.

Assist with outgoing customer calls as directed by sales representatives.

Provide support to the sales staff in its effort to give customers the best possible quality and service.

Required Skills: To qualify for consideration, an applicant must possess the following skills. Possession of these skills is a prerequisite for employment

Special Skills (above average skill required) : organized, detail oriented, ability to work with little supervision, handling outside contacts, communication (oral and written), interpersonal skills, motivation, coping with difficulties and emergencies.

Additional Skills: must be able to concentrate and maintain productivity in high pressure situations.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

Education: Associate or Bachelor Degree in Business, Administration, or pursuing such a degree.
