To support this mission, Syngenta is seeking an Environmental Fate and Exposure Scientist who will be responsible for evaluating the environmental fate of our active ingredients and modeling exposure to support labeled use patterns and provide input to regulatory risk assessments.The role comprises developing a science strategy to meet techno-regulatory requirements and ensuring the creation of top-tier submission packages to support the maintenance, re-registration, and development of crop protection products for Syngenta in the United States and Canada.Accountabilities:Lead environmental exposure projects across various stages of pesticide active ingredient development, leveraging extensive scientific expertise and robust stakeholder management skills.Provide technical input into the environmental fate strategy for the development and registration of new active ingredients/products and maintenance of registered active ingredients/products within North America.Conduct ecological and drinking water exposure assessments for the U.S. EPA and Canadian PMRA by using regulatory exposure models for surface water and groundwater to support new and existing registrations of Syngenta products for registration and re-registration risk assessments.Provide strategic and exposure modeling support for endangered species risk assessments of pesticide active ingredients.Lead pesticide management and projects involving off-target movement and exposure mitigation (i.e., runoff, drift, and flux).Contribute to the development of methodologies, data, and studies specific to Syngenta products, such as analytical methods, terrestrial and aquatic field dissipation, and laboratory metabolism.
