As a Sheeter Operator, you are the critical link between raw paper rolls and the high-
precision printing process. You’ll be responsible for transforming massive rolls of
paperboard into perfectly sized, flat sheets, ensuring the highest standards of quality
and efficiency for our packaging production.Responsibilities: Machine Operation: Set up, calibrate, and operate high-speed sheeting equipment to
convert paperboard rolls into precise sheets.
Quality Control: Constantly monitor sheet dimensions, squareness, and surface quality
to prevent defects (e.g., dust, slitting errors, or scuffing).
Setup & Changeover: Review job tickets to determine specifications (size, weight,
grain direction) and perform efficient make-ready transitions between different jobs.
Maintenance: Perform routine cleaning and basic preventative maintenance on knives,
rollers, and belts to ensure optimal machine performance.
Material Handling: Operate forklifts or roll-clamping equipment to load heavy rolls onto
the unwind stands.
Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve mechanical issues or paper-run jams to minimize
downtime.
