job detailsjob summary:A Weight Architect is needed for a multinational manufacturing company that produces and distributes trucks, buses and construction equipment, as well as marine and industrial drive systems in the Greensboro, NC area. The Weight Architect role involves proactively investigating and managing the weight of components in automotive projects, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, estimating weight for future products.location: Greensboro, North Carolinajob type: Contractsalary: $49.12 - 56.14 per hourwork hours: 8am to 4pmeducation: Bachelorsresponsibilities:
Proactively investigate the weight of components/systems/deliverables throughout project maturity.
Verify weight targets to meet project gate fulfillments.
Estimate weight for future products.
Calculate axle loads and weight distribution to comply with legal restrictions.
Analyze outcomes to confirm accuracy.
Provide project updates to the weight architect team at specified intervals to track and forecast vehicle weights.
Skills:
Essential CAD system experience, preferably in ProE/Creo.
Knowledge of battery/hybrid vehicles is beneficial.
Ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken English.
strong attention to detail.
Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Excel sheet data analysis, formulas, pivot tables, graphs, and PowerPoint presentations).
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in a related Engineering field.
5 - 8+ years of experience in product development projects within automotive and/or commercial vehicles.
