We are seeking a caregiver/helper for a sweet elderly lady with dementia. The job will include some overnights and some days. We need someone who can be flexible and is able to fill in when the other caregivers are unable to come. The specific days and nights have not yet been decided. You also need to have your own vehicle and a valid Driver's License so that you can drive her to doctor appointments, on outings, etc. Once you're hired and pass a trial period, the job will be about 40 hours a week.
The elderly lady is generally extremely pleasant and sweet natured. And we need the same type of person to care for her. She needs assistance with mobility, bathroom hygiene, showering, feeding, toothbrushing, taking meds, etc. Other duties include but are not limited to cooking, cleaning, changing sheets and laundry. The person hired will also help her with her physical therapy, walking, entertaining and companionship.
We have a strong preference for someone with at least one year experience working with the elderly or be a CNA but we can consider special exceptions depending on the person. Candidate must be kind, patient and caring. Non smoking work environment.
Person must have a valid Driver's License, take a TB and drug test, and submit to a criminal check.
